How to integrate my bot with Open AI

What bot are you using? what questions are you asking?

If you are creating a new bot, you need to train it with a response list of questions and answers, or use one of the pretrained templates.

I am looking into it now.   I am not a skilled programmer.  I have a basic understanding though.

Do you know of any resources on these forums that talk about this?

 

It would be nice to be able to have a few default connections that can shake hands easily for non-programmers.

The conversation user is stored on the conversation object in the bot's database as the relationship #speaker.
If the user is not connected this would normally be stored as anonymous, but you can also pass the user name and optional email address through the web API.

The chat API takes a message object that has an info variable that you can set.

is this doable?

Google dropped API.AI and replaced it with DialogFlow.

You can integrate a Bot Libre for with Dialog Flow using a "proxy" bot on Bot Libre that forwards requests to the DialogFlow web REST API using a Self script that uses the Http class.

I have imported several alice templates, but it does not execute them, nor does it perform the basic functions of alice, such as showing date and time, nor does it analyze the language, nor does it execute scripts created by me to irc.

Yes, through the bot's "timer" service any service that has a web API can be automated, and these forums have a web API.

We are planning a deeper forum integrate as well.

The real question for me, is can these forums be automated by a chat bot, similar to the way this works on facebook?
